Bottle Drives

Our next bottle drive is scheduled for June 14, 2008 9am -12, at LaBreque Field.  We are having bottle drives the 2nd Saturday of each month to help raise additional funds for kids that are going to Summer Camp and to offset parental cost on some of the other trips and activities of the troop.

The bottle drives are fund raisers used to send the kids to camp in the summer.  We would like to thank everyone for their support this past year as many kids went to camp that may not of if not for your support.  We also look forward to and appreciate your continued support in helping us send the kids to camp..

This Webelos of the Pack have been working with the Scouts raising money for their camp as well.  This will be done by setting up addition collection sites TBD.

The price of camp is always going up and with the addition of the Webelos it is important to continue supporting the kids and save your bottles for the next drive.

If you are unable to drop them off for any reason please feel free to request a pick up by complete the following form contact one of the troop leaders and we will see that your bottles and cans are picked.

Updates

Dear fellow Quincy Scouters,

Just a quick note to remind you that the Scouts (Boys & Girls) have been invited by the Quincy Veterans Services dept. to participate in the Memorial Day parade on Monday May 26th.

All Scouts and Scouters should be in the best uniforms and organize in the Quincy Credit Union parking lot (on Quincy Ave.) prior to 10am on Monday morning. The road will be closed at 10am and the parade steps off at 10:30am after all the groups have been lined up.

The parade will proceed straight down Quincy Ave. onto Hancock St. through Quincy Square and then turn right onto Coddington Ave. and straight onto Sea St. where the parade will disperse, however everyone is welcome to remain to observe the respectful ceremonies at Wollaston Cemetery.

Thanks to all your efforts, Scouting is growing in Quincy, and it is very important that we show the citizens of Quincy that fact with our presence at public events like this that show our Scouts by our own example what participative citizenship is.

Truly yours in Scouting,

Ray
