Boy Scout Troop 6 NewsHurricane Katrina - The troop raised $2,200 dollars for hurricane Katrina relief. Through company matching and personal donations we were able to take all of the proceeds from our September bottle drive and nearly tripled our donation. Community Support -The troop helped out the Quincy Community Action Program by installing 300 feet of shelving for a clothing boutique for single mothers.. We donated all of the supplies for the installation. We are pleased that we were able to help such a great organization which does so much good for our community. Camping Trip - The troop went on a camping trip to Peddocks Island the largest island of the Boston Harbor Islands. We toured every foot of shoreline, the salt marsh, Fort Andrews and the village. We are grateful to the Walsh family for the use of their property and to Ralph Jacobs for a ride their and back. Registration for the 2005 – 2006 scouting season is Monday September 12th and 19th.
